Compared to some, my experience in front of the camera is relatively short; however since 2014 I have appeared in a wide variety of TV and Film roles, including many period dramas. Whilst my stage experience is a big benefit for Walk-on roles, I quickly realised that being convincing in background is very different on-set, to on-stage; a recent Director reminding me: “That’s great David, but take it down 50% - less is more”. I love the work, and whilst it’s always small bits, the screen would often be half empty without the SAs.
